Other Injections
Dependant on the diagnosis there are other therapeutic injections which may be offered:
• Trochanteric bursa
• Sacroiliac joint
• Trigger point injections
In addition injections may be used to diagnose the cause of a patient’s pain.
All injections can have immediate, early or late response or reduction in pain or symptoms.
Complications of Injections
Complications are extremely rare after local anesthetic or steroid injection.
Possible complications are flushing reactions, vaso-vagal episode (fainting), infection, minor nerve injury and adverse reaction (allergic type reaction).
